Who am I and Why am I here?

I am an avid believer that we are never too young or too old to try something new. As a mom of four kids our journey as parents started off with a military move quickly afterward.

Life apparently wasn’t exciting enough so we took our family of four to Germany for a couple of years. This instituted a transition to the reserves for me and ignited a love of travel and blessed us with twins as we headed back to the States for a quick touchdown and pivot to Canada during the height of the pandemic.

Along the way we have made incredible friends, explored multiple historic, national and provincial sites. Our kids have resiliently adapted to change numerous times while we navigate the military command lifestyle, entrepreneurial endeavours and daily life in a household of six.

Before all of this I was a southern girl who had never traveled outside the U.S. but had plenty of experience moving all over the south. We created our deepest roots in Kentucky, where I graduated from the University of Louisville with a B.A. degree, Business Minor and a passion for service. That passion continues through to today but really felt like it started to bloom when I raised my right hand to serve in the USAF as an Air Battle Manager.

All of this has lead to “Practical Mindset Life”. My passion to serve, enneagram #3 (achiever/wing service). I have done mindset work, mindfulness practice and more for over two decades and the culmination of the best tips I’ve picked up will be right here as a quick resource for you. Alongside my original works which will be based on my personal experiences, sited and sourced as needed.

It’s hard to choose a few photos to capture our family, but here are some of my favorites that are inspiring me to put myself out there and share my love for fitness, family, travel, parenting, mindset, wellness, and so much more.

Please share this resource with everyone you know that needs a little laugh, love and learning opportunity. Thank you for visiting I hope you gain just a little more insight, inspiration to action and/or gratitude for life.
